We interweave passive house design on all our dental ideas. Using mother nature’s gifts – we optimise the use of natural light.  Combining this with functional and clever design ideas and the use of ergonomic furniture we will ensure each workspace is cutting edge, functional and patient focused.  

Our process from the design phase right through to handover will be undertaken by the same Project Manager and the same site staff.  We ensure the faces you meet at the start of the project are the same at the end.  Real bonds are made during the construction phase.  Having familiar site staff lends their hand to ensuring dental projects to be completed on time and within budget.  This familiarity allows for knowledgeable and experienced decisions to as a solution for any challenge that might arise.

Getting in contact is the first step.  Possibly the most important meeting is the first consultation.  Here our in-design team will get on the same page.  We will delve into ideas, dreams, wish lists and future expectations.  Only after your dream dental practice ideas are fully understood will our in-house designers start to bring it to life. With decades of industry experience the design team will begin to design for your future.

Functional design is more than putting pen to paper – it’s designing solutions for every available inch – this is very true for any dental space.  There is great skill to combine patient centered dental solutions with regulatory compliance.  Ensuring small spaces allow for seamless patient flow is a fine art.  At Clinics by Design, you are in good hands. Our specialist Dental design team have years of experience fitting a square peg in a round hole. We will create a Dental Practice that works for you, considers your future and will deliver a state-of-the art design.

Our Project Management team and site staff will quickly become familiar faces – daily, you will see the same project manager and site staff.  Real relationships are built as we will work closely with you on a daily basis.  Any issues that arise will be sorted immediately by our in-house construction team. We ensure that each stage of production will fall in line with a progress payment. This ensures your Dental Project delivery and progress payments will follow the signed contract to avoid any uncertainty or dispute.      

Soon enough your dental project will come to an end and hand over is reached. Your new dental practice is now your reality.  At this point we provide full warranty handover documents for future use.  Please be assured – We do not merely walk away – we provide help throughout the warranty period and we will sort any issues and concerns if any arise.

In 2021 Clinics by Design helped me renovate a previous GP clinic into a specialist clinic. The existing practice was on a single dwelling in Ashburton with a medical permit and 8 car park spaces. The project involved gutting the entire inside, re-stumping, new ceilings, knocking out most walls, repainting the exterior facade and landscaping. Neale and Kostas were very knowledgeable, helpful and understood the needs of the clinic. The crew were professional and courteous. Emails and correspondences were promptly attended to. Planning took 5 months (floor plan drafts, choosing materials, contracts drafted and agreed upon after legal assessment, getting council approval), and the Fitout took 4 months. The clinic was operational on time, and all of this was achieved in a pandemic year. The finishing was excellent both inside and outside. Clinics by Design understood the IT, aesthetic, furniture and lighting requirements of medical clinics. The staff and patients are all very happy with the end result. While I am certain they will not be the cheapest Fitout firm in Melbourne, the fact they are competent, efficient and can deliver reduced a lot of hassle for me as a busy specialist. For this reason, they have my unreserved recommendation.

We recently completed a major dental practice renovation with Clinics by Design, led by Neale Cooper. While the project ran significantly over time and budget, I want to acknowledge both the challenges and the positives. The building threw up plenty of unexpected issues—leaks, asbestos, and previous poor renovations—but Neale’s experience and problem-solving approach were invaluable. He never defaulted to “it can’t be done”—he always looked for a solution, and that gave me confidence throughout the process. Rob Littlejohn, our site manager, was excellent—reliable, proactive, and calm under pressure. He played a big part in keeping things moving and ensuring the quality of the build. We had to stay operational and see patients through the renovation. That was tough, but Rob and the team did everything they could to minimise disruption.
